Alexander William is the Senior Designer & Creative Director of Swedish artisanal label Atelier Aura. He’s the son of an Icelandic farmers daughter and a Persian ex-rebel and regime criticist. Born and raised in the ”Million Programme” suburbs of Gothenburg, Sweden he grew up heavily influenced by his mixed heritages two cultures and the clash between them.
In the collections of Atelier Aura he combines fabrics, patterns and tailoring techniques traditionally used in the two different cultures – effectively merging the two into a new entity.
